Controlling Dirt

Earth Control is an earthbending ability that allows the user to pick up earth-related blocks (i.e. dirt, ores, sand, stone). Once you've picked up a block you can do two things (indicated by the crosshair), throw the block or place it somewhere. Left clicking throws the block in the direction you're facing and right clicking places it on the block you're looking at.

You can also pull off some pretty neat trickshots! Blocks thrown by Earth Control can bounce off other blocks!

Unlocking this ability requires a tier I or higher earthbending scroll or a tier I or higher elemental scroll.

Level II

This upgrade increases the speed and range of the block thrown. The pickup radius of the block is increased and you can pick out a block from about 4 blocks away.

This ability upgrade requires a tier I scroll.

Level III

Damage and speed increase, along with a larger pickup range. You can carry up to two blocks at a time now. These blocks rotate around you and can be thrown in any direction.

This ability upgrade requires a tier III scroll.

Level IV

As with all other abilities, there are two choices for Earth Control's level IV upgrade.

Blocky Boomerang: Block comes back after successful mob hit

Blocky Boomerang lets you re-use one block many times as long as you hit a mob with the block. Is really cheap because you don't have to pick up any more blocks so it's a chi-free attack after the first one. This upgrade is recommended very skilled earthbenders. In addition, you can have up to three earth blocks rotating around you!

This upgrade requires a tier III scroll to unlock.

Large Impact: The block has a 1/2 chance to create an explosion on landing

This upgrade allows the picked up block to (with a 50% chance) explode upon hitting an entity or a surface. The explosion can be deadly to the majority of the mobs but it doesn't destroy terrain. Because of the explosion, this ability becomes really good against hordes of enemies.

This upgrade requires a tier III scroll to unlock

Blocks thrown by Earth Control can slide across the ground, covering more distance. If you throw it against a wall, it will slide across the side of the wall and fall of to the side. You can use this to perform trickshots and clear angles from tricky areas.
